Plant Source Inc., is seeking a Head Grower to oversee all production operations for the San Marcos facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Work with large staff to ensure production plans are being executed timely and properly
- Manage the organization, storage and inventory process of all raw materials
- Measure and monitor all production activities to determine production performances
- Ensure continuous improvement in all areas
- Ensure optimal quality for the growing staff
- Monitor soil mix and other cultural processes for proper balance
- Manage watering practices, preventative spray program, growth regulation program, pest potentials, pinching requirements, fertilization requirements, etc.
- Walk the crops with the growing team to identify weekly spray priorities not planned
- Maintain written reports on what the needs are and why
- Ensure maintenance of facilities and all seeding, sticking, growing , spray, selection equipment
- Work with the maintenance team and facility leaders to review growing priorities
- Measure actual harvest compared to plan and actual availability
- Ensure an accurate on-time availability on a weekly basis
Job Requirements
Qualifications-
- Minimum five (5) years of nursery production management or related production experience
- Degree in Horticulture is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a must
- Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to manage department in line with budgetary requirements

Salary: $40,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
