Job Summary

Kush Bottles is looking for a Certified Hazardous Materials Driver focused on the delivery efforts of the company when it comes to hydrocarbons. The goal is to provide safe and efficient delivery of all gases and materials as ordered by customers. Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to loading and unloading of trucks, driving, delivery, and procurement of all key necessary documentation and paperwork: as well as inventory management. Driver should be fully certified to handle and transport hazardous materials and must maintain compliance in maintaining key documentation surrounding mandatory driving certifications for this role.

No supervisory responsibilities

Examples of Essential Functions

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Safe, responsible and efficient delivery/handling of all hazardous materials per each and every delivery
Consistent communication with warehouse facilities and distribution hubs in order to communicate logistics of and gas procurement
Effective communication with customer pertaining to delivery route and arrival timing
Procurement of delivery/packing documentation as well as customer signatures on all deliveries to confirm product delivery
Adherence to cash management procedures including cash receipts slips and cash log books in order to track and manage all applicable activity
Provide Operations Manager with all delivery/cash documentation to ensure preservation by appropriate parties
Understanding and familiarity with different types of gases, blends, solvents, and materials provided by Kush for extraction methods
Follow-up with customer including: showing appreciation for business, inquiries into additional business needs and/or upselling, and reporting such communication back to Operations Manager and appropriate parties
Inventory and yard management in accordance with warehousing hub policies and procedures
Occasional and periodic evaluations of inventories at satellite hubs
Generate sales leads and referrals when possible and report information to Operations Managers and other Sales Representatives as needed
Minor maintenance and repair of equipment

Current D.O.T. Medical Certificate
Any certifications related to the job duties listed above
Extensive experience effectively using several types of hand tools
Extensive experience performing physically demanding work assignments
Experience working with chemicals and/or cleaning products

Necessary Special Requirements

The following conditions must be met and maintained in order to be employed and to continue employment at Kush Bottles in this position:

May be required to pass a controlled substance test (i.e. drug test), and D.O.T physical through our medical provider, as well as random and post accident drug and alcohol screening
Must be willing to respond to emergencies outside regular work hours and work overtime including weekends and holidays
Must provide the supervisor with a telephone number where you can be reached for the purposes of responding to an emergency

Education/training/experience:
Prior experience in a Hazardous Materials driving/delivery role
Possession of all key licenses and certifications necessary for transportation authorization when it comes to Hazardous Materials
Clean and dependable personal driving record
Awareness and understanding regarding all regulatory laws surrounding proper handling of applicable hazardous materials

Knowledge of:
Hydrocarbon gases, solvents, and materials as requested by customers and provided by Kush Bottles
Basic principles when it comes to cash management and recordkeeping
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email capabilities in order to review, respond, and provide key documentation to other parties

Physical Standards:
This position requires frequently sitting/driving in truck for long stretches of time
Operating a Hazardous Materials truck with lift gate
Handling of 100-180 lbs. gas tanks/cylinders in terms of moving them on/off truck
Operation of pallet jack at times and as needed by customers/warehouse facility
