Wilco’s Hazelnut Growers of Oregon has been a reliable processor and marketer of hazelnuts for over 30 years. The cooperative serves over 150 hazelnut growers and processes and sells those nuts domestically in the US and overseas to multiple export markets. Hazelnut Growers of Oregon focuses on serving growers by returning profits to members and protecting the hazelnut supply chain through the highest food safety standards.
Job Summary
This is a Full Time, Fully Benefited Position
Directs daily activities and participates in the supervision and performance management of warehousers. Unload, check-in, stock, and organize warehouse and yard area merchandise.
Responsibilities
- Plans, directs and provides oversight of warehouse operations and activities to meet productivity and service objectives.
- Directs the efficient fulfillment of customer orders, utilizing the ERP system for the processing of shipping documents, the staging, and loading of customer orders.
- Transport Materials to various locations; loading and unloading of trucks.
- Ensures housekeeping and cleanliness of facility are maintained to meet established Food Safety expectations ensuring favorable results on all internal and third-party audits.
- Follows established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and safety policies while performing job duties.
- Ensure strict adherence to the HGO’s Code of Ethics and Core Values while maintaining a positive work environment.
- May perform high stacking of palletized material in congested and busy environments.
- Required to cross-train other employees and perform other tasks as assigned by management.
- Cycle count inventory on weekly basis. Must have basic computer skills, restock materials. Must use strapping gun regularly.
- Operation of a forklift in cold storage warehouses.

- Processes willingness to learn.
- Basic math skills are required.
- Proficient PC knowledge and skills are a must.
- High School Diploma.
- Preferred Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.
- 4 years of warehouse or shipping experience.
- 1 year of experience in a food grade facility is preferred.
- Prior experience in a lead or supervisory position.
