This is a temporary position
Remove hazelnut defects and foreign materials so hazelnut products can meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Visually identify defects in hazelnuts according to grade, color, and size.
- Discards inferior or defective products and foreign matter from a conveyor belt.
- Follows established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and safety policies while performing job duties.
- Clean work area daily.
- Follow all documented procedures
- Communicate quality issues and to management and QA personnel.
Successful Candidates Will Have
- The ability to read, write, and understand English. (Without an interpreter)
- The ability to work in a team environment in a positive manner of respect, cooperation & flexibility.
- A good work ethic and the ability to work independently.
- The ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists
- A High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior food processing experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift 25 pounds repeatedly.
- Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.
