The Harvest Manager must have leadership and management experience. He/she will lead a team of up to 8 individuals that are primarily focused on drying, bucking, trimming, weighing, and packaging the product. Rooms must also be properly cleaned and sanitized for the next round of plants.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead and manage the harvest team safely and in compliance with local and state regulations
- Turn over rooms within expected time frame
- Coordinate harvest activities with management team
- Supervise room turnovers to ensure they are done efficiently, safely, and sanitarily
- Ensure harvesters are bucking, trimming, weighing, and packaging the product according to company standards
- Collect and maintain data pertinent to harvest activities (time spent on tasks, weights of finished product, etc)
- Operate and maintain harvest equipment efficiently and safely.
- Analyze budgets and test out new procedures to keep expenses low.
- Implementing changes based on information to ensure improvement in production process.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to work on your feet during scheduled work hours.
- Self-motivated.
- Continuously lift over 30lbs.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations.
- Ability to communicate through various formats including email and phone.
- Must be over the age of 21.
- Must have leadership and management experience
- Cannabis experience is not a requirement, but is desirable
- Computer skills to collect and store data using Microsoft Office
- Understanding of compliance standards and regulations
- Management and leadership experience.
- Ability to write reports, complete checklists, and correspond via email.
- Ability to manage high stress situations.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently.
- Detail oriented.
- Able to accurately and efficiently measure product weights and report findings to controller on a timely basis
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Flexible schedule.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be over the age of 21.
