About the role:
Treasury Wine Estates is seeking a motivated seasonal Harvest Intern to assist the Sonoma County Grower Relations Representative with growing season and harvest tasks. Individuals should possess a strong desire to work hands-on and perform efficiently in variable conditions. Must be comfortable working independently as well as part of a high energy team. This is a physically demanding position that will require early mornings and walking in steep and rough terrain. Position starts in July through mid to end of October, season dependent.
Responsibilities:
This role will be responsible for pest and disease scouting, vine health and phenology monitoring, crop estimation which will include cluster and vine counts as well as cluster weights. You will also be involved with mapping, data entry and analysis and maturity sampling and processing.
Qualifications:
This is a great opportunity to learn about the diverse and unique growing areas of the Sonoma AVA’s - from cool, maritime influenced Carneros and Russian River vineyards, to warmer regions of the Alexander and Knights Valleys. There are only a handful of internships that can offer this breadth of experience, working with a team who is dedicated to growing and making the highest quality wines.
