Of course, for plant-loving agriculture and horticulture students, there are Production and R&D internships. Many opportunities are based at our headquarters or farms in Miami, Florida. But we also love having students learn and gain work experience at our farms in Asheville, North Carolina; Trenton, South Carolina; Apopka, Florida; and Venus, Florida.
Being a Costa Farms intern means you get an immersive experience with the rest of your department. We don’t hold back, so you’ll be working right alongside the team - experts in their fields - in their day-to-day tasks.
As a part of your Costa Farms internship, you’ll be assigned a special project to complete within your 10 weeks with us. These projects aren’t busywork - they’re endeavors that bring value to Costa Farms, helping move the company forward and grow. Each project offers defined goals and KPIs. And, at the end of the internship, you get to present your accomplishments to members of our executive committee, including Costa Farms CEO Joche Smith.
To help build your professional development, both at Costa Farms and for your career, you’ll receive training above and beyond what your department offers. For example, we give each intern sessions for presentation skills and the Six Sigma Principles of Influence.
While we’re serious about making sure your summer with Costa Farms is an enriching one, we also want it to be an enjoyable one. There are plenty of opportunities for fun during your experience here, including an off-site team-building event.
You’ll find our culture at Costa Farms also offers plenty of perks, including a family-style atmosphere and our popular “Funefits.” Internship housing may be provided, depending on circumstances.
