Job Description:

We are searching for a Grower Contract Coordinator position to work in our Lebanon, OR Pennington Seed plant. This position will report to the Assistant Field Department Manager. The purpose of this position is to support the Grower Field Representatives, Production Manager, Assistant Field Department Manager, and Plant Production Planner by maintaining contract, proprietary seed test, raw material, and grower payment databases. The primary focus of the position changes with the seasons. This position is responsible for maintaining grower contract databases; assigning proprietary seed tests to the appropriate proprietary contracts; preparing grower payments; and facilitating the purchase of extra-contractual raw materials. At all times, supporting Grower Field Representatives, the Product Manager, and the Plant Production Planner takes precedence. MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Maintain grower contract databases.
  • Assign proprietary seed tests to appropriate proprietary contracts.
  • Prepare grower payments.
  • Facilitate purchase of extra-contractual raw materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
  • Two years industry experience preferred.
  • Type by touch, knowledge of basic office machines, and computer knowledge a must.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Ariba, and SAP preferred.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sharp attention to detail is a must.
  • Ability to handle stress and coordinate many activities simultaneously.
  • Must be able to plan ahead, prioritize, and problem solve.
  • Must be self-motivated and driven to succeed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Manufacturing environment with frequent use of phone and PC.
  • Travel – minimal to none.
