QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in horticulture or biology.
- 2 years relevant experience is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English and CGIP certification is a plus.
- Brute strength is not necessary, but stamina and endurance are critical
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Maintain and improve production and stock plants through accountability and awareness of plant specifications, propagation timing and other factors.
- Assesses plant health and cultural needs, as they are responsible for daily inspections, scheduling, and implementation of cultural practices.*

- Irrigation, weeding, chemical and bio‑control applications, fertilizing, pruning, tying, staking and sorting are actions growers must successfully implement to maintain and continually improve our plants.
- Focuses on continuous improvement in all aspects of staff development, plant care, and facility care.
- Manages plant care with hundreds of different plant genera.
- Leads a team of 2 teammates
- Implements and leads our IPM and biological control programs.
- Available to work every third weekend (one weekend on, two weekends off). And, 2-3 holidays per year.*
