Graphic Design Assistant (Temp)

Urbn Leaf, the new standard in licensed cannabis dispensaries is searching for a Graphic Design Assistant to add to our growing team. This will be a temporary position (estimated 45-90 days). Applicants must be available to start work immediately, and must have open availability on the weekends as the shifts will be primarily Friday - Monday, 9:00am-5:30pm.

Job Summary:

The Graphic Design Assistant will support the Creative Director and Marketing team in the development of sales presentation materials, marketing collateral, web content and advertisement materials in accordance with the company's branding and identity standards. This position requires an understanding and knowledge of graphic design and desktop publishing standards, graphics and publishing software and print production.

The position may also support and participate in industry trade show activities and corporate events. They must have a graphic design and marketing background with the ability to work independently. They will work with all members of the marketing department, providing general marketing support outside of the design scope as needed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in designing, developing and producing digital and print materials. Key projects include, but are not limited to: Identity standards, logos, newsletter, email marketing, trade show graphics, signage, event flyers, social media images, postcards and brochures
• Assist in maintaining the company's image, identity and communication style
• Assist in ensuring consistency and maintaining brand integrity and compliance across all creative platforms
• Support and participate in industry trade show activities and events
• Solid understanding of marketing principles
• Provide general support to our Marketing department
• Handle requests for marketing materials, promotional products and log-ins
• Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: note taking, photocopying, faxing, mailing and filing

Qualifications of the Graphic Design Assistant include, but are not limited to:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Knowledge of cannabis operations is preferred
• Bachelor's degree is preferred (Design/Marketing/Communications)
• Work experience in graphic design and marketing a plus
• Understanding of graphic design, typography and composition principles
• Attention to detail while maintaining speed and sense of urgency
• Knowledge of full Adobe Creative Suite programs (Mainly Illustrator and Photoshop)
• Expertise in Microsoft Office
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple deadlines
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate effectively in a professional business environment
• Understanding of production, pre-press, print and web-based technologies
• Understanding of current design trends and patterns
• Portfolio, digitally or in print, to showcase your best work

Physical Requirements: Standing, sitting, bending, reaching and carrying trade show products as needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Shift Time: Fridays-Mondays 9:00am - 5:30pm
