The Graphic Production Assistant is responsible for assisting in the development of visual aids, menus, promotional materials, packaging materials, presentation materials, etc. for the various divisions of Ataraxia.
Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supports the Sr. Graphics Designer in completing projects for Professional Division Sales and Marketing as well as Packaging. These projects include but are not limited to video production, promotional advertisements, order guides, product instruction booklets, price lists, graphs, charts, newsletters, and packaging.
- Completes multiple tasks as assigned and necessary in each project development. These duties include but are not limited to, various display projects, mock-up of packaged product and organizing department media and promotional items.
- Assists in the preparation and release of final artwork. Ensures the final artwork meets the minimum printing requirements and accuracy of color output. Works to reduce the Pre-Press Setup charges Ataraxia may accrue if the artwork is not prepared correctly. Provides answers to any color and/or graphic issues arising directly from the printing companies or from the Product Managers.
- Assists in performing a Post-Release procedure to any final packaging artwork released to printing companies. A Post-Release consists of, but not limited to, updating final packaging artwork to the server, moving images from a temporary location to a permanent backed-up location.
- Updates images in server folders and: Catalog Sheets and any additional supporting images to help aid the outside sales teams.
- Assist in video production and photography.
- Develop design briefs by gathering information and data through research.
The ideal person for this position has the following minimal requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design or related
- 2 years of related experience
- Must possess good organizational, communication, typing and proofing skills.
- Must remain up to date with industry leading software and technologies (InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
- Ability to work with multiple cultures through multiple time zones
- Ability to understand deadlines in relation to time zone differences
- Demonstrated graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Must be creative and have working knowledge of printers and digital cameras
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Ability to model the Company’s values of respect for people, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Be a legal U.S. citizen AND current Illinois Resident
- Must pass all required background checks
- Must be approved by the DOA to receive an Agent ID badge
