Summary
-------

The GPMO Program Coordinator is responsible for successfully monitoring/controlling efforts and successfully managing their transition & closeout, under the guidance of a GPMO Program Manager and / or as assigned by the Head of the Global Program Management Office (GPMO).

The GPMO Program Coordinator will help drive the GPMO's most complex programs and projects to completion. The efforts the Program Coordinator will help manage involve a diverse set of components / work threads, including but not limited to business processes, technology, construction, training, marketing, security, compliance.

Given this, the successful GPMO Program Coordinator must:

  • Be able to cooperatively, professionally, and effectively communicate with personnel and third-party-providers ranging from the staff through C-Suite Executive level
  • Have experience successfully operating in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Already have – or achieve within one year of employment – the CAPM certification (no exceptions)
Essential Functions
-------------------------

  • Interact with Core Project Team, Program Manager and GPMO Leadership to communicate status, risks/issues and mitigation strategies
  • Concurrently manage multiple complex projects/programs that are in the monitoring & controlling or transition & closeout phase
  • Monitor progress of each assigned program/project against the baselined plan and escalate matters, as appropriate, through the defined governance channels
  • Consistently demonstrate PM best practices in performing assigned job duties
  • Successfully facilitate meetings (i.e., have plan for meeting, conduct as planned, follow-up with notes & applicable actions and decisions to drive forward progress)
  • Perform transparent, fact-based project / program status reporting
  • Perform other duties as assigned (e.g., professional development assignments as tasked by Head of GPMO, support for departmental administrative activities such as tool enhancement/automation, template refinement)
Required Education and Experience
---------------------------------------

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of project management experience (as defined by the Project Management Institute), or 3+ years of directly transferable experience

  • Skilled in: Communications Management, Reporting Management, Meeting Management, RAID (Risk, Action Item, Issue, Decision) Management
Preferred Education & Experience
------------------------------------

  • Industry Experience related to: Government (Federal/State/Local), Manufacturing, Consumer Products, Technology, Healthcare, Retail, or Pharmaceuticals
  • Exposure to / prior participation on integrated programs & projects with Construction, Information Technology, Financial, Vendor, or Process/Performance Management components/work threads
  • Experience contributing to projects, work threads and tasks with multiple contributors, aggressive deadlines, competing requirements
  • Experience with managing/updating integrated master schedules to reflect progress and refine forecasts
