The Role
The General Manager (GM) directs, manages, motivates and supports the activities and operations of the processing facility. This individual manages internal resources, develops and reviews standard operating procedures, policies and operational guidelines to ensure state-wide patient satisfaction and staff productivity. This individual oversees the training, development and education of all processing staff members.
Responsibilities:

Exercises authority and discretion concerning all processing operational issues

Participates in developing and implementing rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to advance GTI’s mission, vision, goals and objectives

Implement processing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports the company's strategic initiatives

Manages, supervises and directs the activities of staff. Makes recommendations and decisions regarding hiring, discipline, termination and advancement of team members. Assigns work and monitor progress. Guides, trains and develops team members

Evaluates staff performance based on clearly communicated standards and expectations.
- Holds team members accountable for performance while making tough decisions regarding performance-related issues, including poor performance

Shares responsibility with the corporate office e to understand and be responsible for compliance in all areas of the processing operation

Utilizes labor force effectively to meet operating budgets

Works with Lab Director to coordinate daily facility operations including:

Supply ordering

Inventory oversight and management
-
Coordinating follow up on product issues

Oversee the management of processing schedules, personnel and quality assurance practices

Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal billing or licensing requirements.
- Ensuring accurate data entry into the inventory tracking systems.
- Required to be on-call and to respond to emergency situations at any time. This may include scheduling issues, potentially covering a vacant shift, facility issues and/or human resources requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Horticulture, Food Science, Plant Science, or related field
- 5+ years of previous industrial operation management or lab management experience
