General Manager, Medical Cannabis Dispensary

Job Description

The General Manager is a registered Pharmacist who is responsible for driving revenue goals while providing an outstanding patient experience while maximizing revenue goals, leading the management & development of the dispensary staff and ensuring compliance with all inventory, security, and system protocols. The GM is also responsible for forecasting inventory levels, ordering & receiving product, and maintaining accurate systems for regulatory reporting and sales analysis. This sales-oriented individual should be passionate about the benefits of medical cannabis, and making a difference in our patients’ lives.

Essential functions:

• Retail Operations

  • Develop and execute store strategies to raise patients' pool, expand store traffic, maximize store sales, and optimize store profitability
  • Ensure high levels of customer retention rate and customer referral rate
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
  • Report on buying trends and customer needs
  • Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
  • Formulate pricing strategies by reviewing product selling and competition activities. Determining promotional and clearance sales.
  • Ensure all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize revenue and profitability
  • Manage effective marketing displays for inside and outside of the store
  • Share best practices with other dispensary managers
  • Maintain inventory by implementing purchasing plans and timely communication with manufacturing sites and/or suppliers
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications:

  • Registered Pharmacist in State of NY

  • 5+ years of managerial experience

  • 4-5 years of proven successful retail store management experience with customer-centric approach
