A soon to open medical cannabis dispensary in Lansdowne/Halethorpe, MD is seeking applicants to oversee daily operations. This patient oriented, hands on position requires an enhanced understanding of various business activities like customer service, inventory control, record keeping, compliance with laws and regulations among others. Knowledge of cannabis products and dispensary operations is desired.
This is a highly responsible position in a highly regulated industry. Applicant must understand the importance of complying with regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing standard operating procedures. Training employees on SOPs.
Hire, train, schedule, motivate, guide and supervise support staff. Evaluate performance, take disciplinary action or promote staff as necessary. Ensure employee adherence to SOPs. Inspire employees to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction. Resolve patient complaints. Lead by example.
Train employees to comply with local, state and federal laws at all times. Provide support as needed. Ensure strict employee adherence.
Educate patients with Maryland state laws as it relates to medical cannabis. Perform community outreach.
Manage, maintain and monitor dispensary POS. Resolve any issues related to operation of POS. Reconcile cash on a daily basis and address shortages or overages. Manage cash handling procedures.
Place purchase orders, receive orders to check for accuracy and perform inventory control measures on a daily basis. Assist with audits and inspections.
Develop and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff at all times. Look for and identify signs of potential product diversion - internal or external. Take steps to prevent theft.
Responsible for opening and closing the dispensary.
Identify operational weakness and take steps to strengthen them.
Perform all functions necessary to ensure clean, smooth and efficient running of the dispensary. Perform any other responsibilities that are required of the job as specified by the management/clinical director.
Requirements:
Must be able to pass extensive MMCC background check.
Must be passionate about cannabis business. Cannabis related experience preferred.
High work ethics and a winning attitude.
Applicant must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have retail or pharmacy management experience.
Strong interpersonal and negotiations skills.
Exemplary written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Must be able to stand for an extended period of time.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office suite and related products.
