General Manager (GM)

We are looking for a Dispensary Manager in the city of South LA, CA, to manage the day-to-day operations of a brand new to be dispensary facility in accordance with the law and company policy.

The Store grand opening is scheduled for 8/1/18. We are looking to start GM employment 30-45 days prior.

During that period, He/She will help design the store, meet suppliers, place initial inventory orders, create and start internet/social media marketing plans.

The individual we are looking for needs to be emotionally intelligent, self-directed and able to problem solve in high pressure situations. They will represent the company’s commitment to high quality member care, service and products in their daily interactions with the public and shop employees.

Manager Duties:

• Ensures a first rate member experience in all aspects of every dispensary visit.

• Provides leadership to ensure that retail operations are managed in a manner that supports the organization’s mission and brand attributes.

• Responsible for all retail operations including inventory management, merchandising, displays, patient experience, facility cleanliness inside and outside, and optimal staffing levels.

. Develop and execute marketing ideas on social media’s sites to generate new clientele on a daily bases.

• Executes and enforces compliance with all Los Angeles/California rules and regulations governing the marijuana dispensary program and internal policies and procedures.

• Ensures dispensing procedures including verification of member eligibility and purchase amounts are accurately entered into the state database as required.

• Has responsibility for all dispensary personnel including hiring, scheduling,

training, coaching, setting performance metrics and incentives, discipline, and

performance evaluation. Maintains high staff morale as measured by low turnover.

• Diffuses difficult situations with diplomacy and ensure issues are resolved to member’s satisfaction while upholding company standards.

• Responsible for overseeing and ensuring cash management procedures are being followed including transacting, opening, closing, depositing, reporting, maintaining and reconciling cash with point of sale system and company SOPs.

• Proactively and regularly communicates with other managers in all departments to ensure safe, optimal dispensary operations and experience for members and staff.

Skill and Requirements

BS degree in management and five years of experience with retail management. Industry experience is ideal but not required.

Effective personnel manager.

Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements including OSHA regulations.

Experience with sales and cash management.

Strong time management, record keeping, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Requirements:

Minimum of 25 years of age.

Possesses valid driver’s license or state ID.

Must pass any and all required background checks.

Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance). This job function may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching.

Minimum 3 references required. References will be check.
