Role and Responsibilities:
The General Manager is responsible for providing an outstanding patient/vendor/Customer experience while maximizing revenue goals, leading the management & development of the staff, and ensuring compliance with all inventory, security, and system protocols. The GM is also responsible for forecasting inventory levels, ordering and receiving product, and maintaining accurate systems for regulatory reporting and sales analysis. This sales-oriented individual should be passionate about the benefits of medical cannabis.
Responsibilities
- Maximizes retail productivity, sales, and profit, while ensuring that standards of service excellence are continuously met and improved upon.
- Understands and remains current on market demand for product offerings and ensures dispensary teams are trained to meet patient needs.
- Responsible for store staffing by recruiting, selecting, and conducting new hire orientation.
- Responsible for coaching, training, developing, and managing employees throughout the year and during performance appraisal periods.
- Knowledgeable about Nevada and Federal law regarding medicinal/Recreational cannabis.
- Understands various strains and their purported effect on debilitating medical conditions.
- Direct involvement in community outreach events, both internal and external.
- Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program policies and procedures.
- Provides a safe and clean store environment.
- Maintains professional reputation of the store by complying with all legal requirements.
- Maintains and oversees cash accounting procedures and record keeping.
- Responsible for driving brand initiatives and sales promotions. Identifies trends and opportunities to define changes in process and procedures that drive operations and sales. Proactively collects customer feedback and uses feedback to implement new product offerings.
- Maintains inventory reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Establishes strong relationships with all party vendors.
- Secures merchandise by implementing and managing security protocols, systems, and process controls.
- Maintains an elevated level of integrity and ethics when dealing with all aspects of the business.
Qualifications:
- Strong people management and retail operations knowledge, including inventory control, loss prevention, retail POS systems, merchandising, customer service and budget preparation.
- Solid business and financial acumen and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated track record in driving revenue
- A high-touch, credible, visible leader who could establish instant credibility and inspire the team

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in business administration, industrial engineering or related field.
- 8 or more years of experience managing operation and staff.
- Knowledge of cannabis and extraction a plus
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be loud.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
