FLRish, a company providing management services to the renowned Harborside Health Center medical cannabis dispensaries and building cultivation operations for vertical integration under CA state law, is seeking qualified applicants to apply for the role of General Manager .

General Manager

(Exempt)

Oversees the management teams and daily operations of the retail location's departments: Safety & Security, Reception, Delivery, Purchasing, Inventory, Processing, Facilities and Sales. The primary goal of the GM is to ensure excellence in service at all points of the patient experience while simultaneously ensuring effective and efficient operations. All job functions are completed with the goal of positioning Harborside as the industry standard of excellence and providing patients with best in class service.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (This may not include all of the duties assigned.)

  • Be responsible for the overall satisfaction and safety of each patient
  • Achieve KPI Goals for Patient Retention, Sales, and Shrinkage
  • Ensure that Harborside complies with City and State regulations and codes
  • Develop plans of action based on Harborside business needs
  • Implement and manage change
  • Partner with Finance department to manage budget and expenses
  • Forecast financial, inventory, and patient trends
  • Ensure daily operational tasks are completed timely and effectively
  • Maintain a positive, caring attitude and treat patients/co-workers with respect and sensitivity
  • Demonstrate leadership and compassionate management
  • Supervise, coach, and communicate with managers to meet and exceed performance expectations
  • Provide recognition and discipline where appropriate
  • Evaluate and review managerial performance
  • Ensure excellence in training for new hires and ongoing training for staff
  • Create and document replicable standards, procedures and processes that support patient service and operational goals
  • Act as a role model for all employees
  • Ensure the cleanliness, presentation and organization of the facility

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the collection of patient feedback to be used for innovation and improving patient service
  • Ensure regular inventory counts are performed accurately
  • Ensure an appropriate selection of saleable products are available at all times
  • Act as a liaison with community stake holders
  • Continuously innovate to ensure the patient experience is the best in class
  • Use best judgment to resolve time sensitive Harborside issues
  • Conduct second interviews and confirm all new hire candidates
  • Recommend pay changes, incentives, promotions and bonuses for managers and general staff to Supervisor
  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports
  • Manage contractors (cleaners, security, maintenance, etc.), as needed
  • Attend required meetings and participate in team and professional development activities
  • Fill in when short-staffed
  • Provide timely and appropriate feedback to Supervisor
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor

JOB SPECIFIC PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and able to interpret financial data

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, with basic skills in Excel and Outlook

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • May require prolonged sitting and some bending, stooping and stretching

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work will generally be performed both inside and outside a busy medical cannabis dispensary
  • Involves frequent contact with managers, staff, and outside service providers
  • Will require working varied hours/day, including nights, weekends, holidays, and/or events, on occasion

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior high volume retail management experience (5 years)
  • Prior experience managing teams of 20 or more employees (2 years)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent life experience
  • Experience working in the medical cannabis industry a plus
  • Must be 21+ years old and pass a criminal background check
