Job Description:

Altus Colorado is seeking an experienced and proficient General Manager to lead all aspects of a Cannabis production facility in Denver, CO. Candidate will be responsible for the leadership of the Colorado Production and Sales teams, with a strong emphasis on communication, problem solving, safety, compliance, quality assurance, efficiency and consistent application of best practices. The General Manager will have a large part in building our culture by inspiring our team and driving the business in new and exciting directions. Ideal candidate is positive, professional, encouraging, and motivated, as the General Manager will be a hands on leader and mentor to the Altus Colorado team.

Candidate should have significant experience as a General Manager or similar role. Ideal candidate must be able to organize and prioritize a diversified workload with competing demands, meet deadlines, communicate effectively, problem solve, and be comfortable having direct accountability over a P&L. GM will participate in developing and implementing operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Ideal candidates are innovative, committed to excellence, collaborative, adaptive and must have strong attention to detail.

Facility Management

• Compliance
• Security
• Utilities
• Deliveries to/from facility

Day to Day “on the ground” Company Culture

Employees & HR

• Payroll setup, processing, and related items
• Employee issues / inter-personal conflict
• Job posting, candidate screening, and interviewing
• Employee reviews
• Staff training

Compliance

• On the ground compliance officer - required working knowledge of all applicable regs
• Administration/Oversight of on-going testing & training
• SOP implementation
• Metrc oversight

Business & Financial Planning

• P&L management and responsibility
• Direct oversight of all income and expenses
• Cash handling, A/R, A/P
• Annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
• Maintain business records
• Oversight of Production and Sales & Marketing with regard to timing/sequencing supply chain and interdependencies

Monthly Team Meetings

• Company updates and announcements
• Motivation, culture, & team building
• Goal setting, monthly plans/schedules

Inter-Company Communication

• Communication of critical risks, opportunities, accomplishments, challenges etc etc with Franklin Group (parent company)
• Sharing of best practices with other operating entities
• Effective communication across all teams and projects within Altus Colorado
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities and experience

Local & Community

• Serve as a liaison to the local community - work with local politicians, bureaucrats, regulators, the public, etc
• Attend local meetings on current/pending regulation
• File and manage all local & entity-related tax, licensing, and permit requirements

Sales & Business Development

• Attend key sales meetings and events, working with Sales Director to address specific Altus Colorado needs
• Develop and manage local supplier relationships (e.g. CBD, extraction services, etc)
