General Contractor (Tenant Representative)

POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for an experienced General Contractor (Tenant Representative) to supervise the construction of a cultivation facility. We are a fully-licensed cannabis cultivator located in the Coachella Valley. This will be a temporary position lasting approximately four months. You will oversee construction procedures and ensure that they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. You will mediate between landlord and tenant to find workable solutions that appeal to both parties. You must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to oversee a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure that the project is completed on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a general contractor. Special attention will be given to candidates with cannabis cultivation warehouse construction experience.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles, and ability to read blueprints
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
• Ability to work with the landlord’s contractors and sub-contractors in an efficient manner
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Familiarity with construction/project management software
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills and the ability to supervise others
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills in order to ensure the full utilization of workers and to maintain schedules
• An honest and reliable team player with leadership abilities

EDUCATION

• BS/BA in engineering, construction science, or relevant field
• PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage

Salary: $5,400.00 to $6,250.00 /month
