Job Description:

Position Description: The Pharmacist will provide dispensing and educational support to patients, physician and the community, promoting excellence in the management of these stakeholder interfaces at the dispensary and for the company. This position will be an expert on the medical marijuana products dispensed, have awareness of potential side effects or drug interactions, and work with our stakeholders to ensure the recommended products and doses appropriately address the patient need. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring compliant day to day dispensation, review and verification of medical marijuana products within regulatory guidelines, and collaboration of the dispensary team to ensure implementation of company policies and procedures, ensuring an efficient workflow of the dispensary and inventory management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Guide patients and caregivers with cannabis recommendations through the process of product selection, affects, potency, dosing, methods of consumption, and administration. Counsel patients and answers their questions regarding usage of medical marijuana, side effects, interactions, contraindications, and patient information privacy.
  • Assist with intake of new patients, orienting new patients to the programs' policies, rules and procedures.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and security at the dispensing window.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.)
  • Develop strong relationships with customers by anticipating customer needs .
  • Responsible for the opening and closing of the dispensary and shift change duties.
  • Follow established policies and procedures and execute all company programs for customer service, staff management, patient and visitor management, inventory management, cash handling, state compliance, and safety and security guidelines
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with local medical community including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers. Participate in community outreach activities to promote the dispensary business and further enhance growth opportunities.
  • Reinforce the Restore culture in staff performance by coaching, monitoring customer service, and fostering employee development.
  • Obtain necessary certifications, education credits and training such as 4 hours required training.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures for receiving, storing, and dispensing medical marijuana products

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Active and current PA Registered Pharmacist
  • No prior license revocation.
  • Work/manage coverage of weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Must be flexible regarding work schedule and willing to work 5-6 days per week including evening and weekends including opening and closing shifts.
  • Have a proven track record of working effectively with customers/patients, with minimum of 2 years experience preferred
  • Must be willing to submit to and pass a comprehensive background check

Background Check Requirement

As a condition of employment, a complete background investigation will be conducted based on the rules of Pennsylvania. The state investigative process includes a state and federal background check. Individuals that have been convicted of a criminal offense related to the sale or possession of illegal drugs, narcotics or controlled substances may not hold a position with Restore.
