Front End Developer Intern

Job Summary

Traffic Roots is a Cannabis Ad Network looking for a motivated front-end interns looking to expand their knowledge with the UX/UI world and become part of an expanding team of professionals in a creative environment. You can be a student who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities include assisting with creating, styling, and maintaining front-end components with Javascript frameworks, bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and photoshop. Our prime candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive interest in prototyping, designing and implementing new web-based user interfaces using the latest features in HTML5 and recent JavaScript frameworks. Experience in PhotoShop, Illustrator and/or any other design software is highly desirable. You must have a working knowledge of Javascript frameworks and libraries, including AngularJS, Bootstrap, NodeJS, JQuery. An affinity towards creating responsive/reactive websites that adhere to a standard look and feel.

The Internship program is unpaid requires a minimum 3 to 4-month commitment, and could lead to a paid position upon successful completion.

Duties Include (but not limited to):

• Create UI concepts based on the business requirements.
• Develop and optimize front-end UI to ensure the application is rendered consistently in cross-browser environments.
• Develop landing pages, and blog layouts
• Convert a mockup/image to working user interface.
• Experience with responsive design.
• Optimize sites for speed and responsiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Ad serving on content sites
• Working knowledge of node.js, express service-side web development
• Understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
• Blade templates-Laravel
• Experience with or knowledge of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
• Must be located at or near San Diego
• Google Doubleclick for Publishers (DFP)
• Google Tag Manager (GTM)
• Programmatic Advertising Networks
• Header Bidding Technology
