PalliaTech NY is currently seeking a talented and motivated cGMP Formulation Chemist that will assume direct involvement in the formulation and process development of medical marijuana products, covering a range of dosage forms.
cGMP Formulation Chemist Responsibilities:
- Operating various equipment involved in the manufacturing process, at laboratory and pilot.
- Scale while accurately completing process documentation in accordance with GMP.
- Writing of manufacturing documents and preparation of reports.
- Manage the transfer of technology from formulation development to production; liaising with production to ensure smooth transfer of information, collating information and interpret data during development work.
Responsibilities also include;
- Use of HPLC (MS/MS), GC (FID, MS/MS) operation and data analysis
- ICP-MS instruments with associated analytical software
- Responsible for recording essential information in databases, communicate findings, and aid in generating analytical reports under strict timelines.
- Ensure that all data generated meet quality control requirements
- A willingness to contribute, openness to learn, and flexibility to assist is essential
- Maintain lab cleanliness and ensure use of proper aseptic and sterile techniques
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job
- Perform and assist in other duties, responsibilities, or projects as needed and directed
Basic Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Advanced knowledge of process equipment and operations.
- Experience creating and revising process documentation.
- Ability to train co-workers. Effective verbal and written communication.

Education:
- Bachelors degree in a science field (chemistry, biology or physics preferred) plus at least 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical analytical chemistry lab.
