Job Description:

Summary

The Floor Advisor is responsible for interacting with and building positive relationships with customers "in front of the glass" in the customer Consultation and Display Area. S/he shall spend time with customers and listen to their needs and concerns, and make appropriate recommendations about Cannabis and quantity, as well as counsel customers about other wellness services offered by The Source. Therefore, the Floor Advisor must have a drive to help people and solid knowledge of Cannabis as well as any other products available (such as edibles). S/he must be able to explain the effects of various Cannabis products and explain how each one can address a customer’s symptoms for different ailments. The Floor Advisor is expected to stay current and knowledgeable about the products offered by The Source and in the industry. S/he must also be knowledgeable about state and local laws pertaining to Cannabis. Ideally, the Patient Advisor will also be computer literate and able to use Point of Sale (POS) equipment and software. Responsibilities

  • Maintains quality customer service by establishing and enforcing company standards and handling customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Greets all customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner.
  • Assist customers with choosing the right products according to their ailments.
  • Participates in ongoing education and professional development as needed.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Listen and respond to customers needs and questions.
  • Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

  • Retail Store Dispensary

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to carry, bend, stand, file documents, lift, and push/pull as needed

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 2 years experience as an individual contributor.
  • Knowledge of medical marijuana and different cannabis products
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Ability to handle high stress situations and a busy atmosphere
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Superior customer service skills and phone etiquette

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates, College Degree preferred or equivalent job experience

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

  • There is no visa or H1-B sponsorship. Candidates must successfully complete a criminal record screening or FBI Fingerprints requirements.
  • Successful completion of a thorough personal reference check and background check from the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health. Note that any applicant with a violent felony or drug-related offense (Conclusion of sentence, probation, and/or incarceration within the past 10 years) is not eligible to become a dispensary agent.
