Summary/Objective

The Financial Analyst, Finance Planning & Analysis will support the leadership of the company’s FP&A team and MedMen’s senior management in performing financial planning, analysis and reporting for the company’s various operations. This will include but is not limited to, assisting in budgeting, long-term planning, forecasting, variance analysis, project analysis, decision support, financial and operational reporting, etc. The Financial Analyst, FP&A will serve as a trusted advisor to business unit leadership, becoming a subject matter expert on the financial performance of operating units and a valued input on the expected financial impact from taking potential courses of action.

Review, analyze and communicate findings on a comprehensive array of financial issues. Provide information and financial analysis to assist senior management in developing its strategic planning and efficiently operating the company.
Learn and sufficiently understand the drivers of the MedMen operations to ensure that the FP&A team’s financial and operational support for senior management and other teams is customized to and aligned with company objectives and context.
Creates/updates communicates and maintains a comprehensive understanding of FP&A team programs, policies and procedures applicable to MedMen’s financial planning, monthly reporting, variance analysis and decision support processes.
Oversees and manages the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan and modeling tools for the FP&A team.
Maintains financial reporting templates and defines fiscal processes and recommends improvements as needed.
Develops financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, expenses and capital expenditures.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis and report with reliable conclusions.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or similar quantitative field of study.
2-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance and/or mergers and acquisitions. Extensive experience in financial modeling. Public company experience preferred.
Knowledge of consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, distribution or retail industries preferred.
ERP systems experience (i.e. – BPC or Hyperion), Advanced Excel skills are a must.
Working knowledge of GAAP and how they relate to financial statement modeling. Experience with IFRS preferred.
