The chosen candidate will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in financial decision-making that affects our company and will provide strategic financial input to senior management. While keenly overseeing the overall accounting, financial, tax and audit functions, will play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of our organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the financial strategy of the company
- Manage financial controls and accounting procedures
- Ensure full transparency over the financial performance of the company
- Provide advice and guidance on how to increase revenue and reduce costs
- Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner
- Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained
- Support the CEO with the preparation of monthly and annual budgeting
- Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required
- Manage international entities and manage transfer pricing
- Support the CEO with raising capital and debt financing
- Oversee the annual financial audit process
- Manage the tax filings for city, state and federal levels
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university (MBA/CPA desired)
- 10+ years of senior financial management experience with a track record of success
- Financial management experience in an early stage company is preferred
- Food manufacturing, CPG experience is a big asset
- Knowledge of accounting and information technology systems is required
- Client-side audit management and delivery experience
- Hands-on, highly effective, results-driven, efficient and detail-oriented
- Excellent people skills with ability to work with a dynamic leadership team
