The chosen candidate will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in financial decision-making that affects our company and will provide strategic financial input to senior management. While keenly overseeing the overall accounting, financial, tax and audit functions, will play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of our organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the financial strategy of the company
  • Manage financial controls and accounting procedures
  • Ensure full transparency over the financial performance of the company
  • Provide advice and guidance on how to increase revenue and reduce costs
  • Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner
  • Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained
  • Support the CEO with the preparation of monthly and annual budgeting
  • Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required
  • Manage international entities and manage transfer pricing
  • Support the CEO with raising capital and debt financing
  • Oversee the annual financial audit process
  • Manage the tax filings for city, state and federal levels

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university (MBA/CPA desired)
  • 10+ years of senior financial management experience with a track record of success
  • Financial management experience in an early stage company is preferred
  • Food manufacturing, CPG experience is a big asset
  • Knowledge of accounting and information technology systems is required
  • Client-side audit management and delivery experience
  • Hands-on, highly effective, results-driven, efficient and detail-oriented
  • Excellent people skills with ability to work with a dynamic leadership team
