As the Maryland Field Marketing Associate, you will support and oversee the local execution of all marketing related activities, including social media upkeep (Facebook, Instagram, other), acting as a local brand ambassador, trade and consumer promotions, community engagement, and advertising. The overall goal of this position is to drive awareness of the RISE brand.
The Maryland Field Marketing Associate will have a bifurcated reporting structure and will report both to the Maryland Market President's as well as the Company’s Corporate Marketing Director (located in Chicago). This position will also work extremely closely with local RISE Dispensary Managers.
Marketing & Promotion

Implement strategic marketing plans for RISE at the local level, in collaboration with National brand team partners.

Responsible for managing all forms of marketing including social media, print, radio, billboard, etc.

Maintain in-store programming using approved brand templates, including ensuring menus (both printed and digital) are accurately maintained to reflect latest inventory, specials and offerings.

Understand local marketing and advertising policies and coordinate with regulators for any necessary approvals.

Maintain local directory sites to maximize ROI (Leafly, Weedmaps, Instagram, Facebook, other) including response to reviews, timely and accurate posting of specials, menu, etc.
- Research and develop marketing policies for each different social media vessel and understand the cannabis compliance laws pertaining to each type.

Support the tracking of new customer referral sources to continuously evaluate effectiveness of marketing spend and recommend areas of improvement - print, radio, billboard, and etc.

Work closely with vendors to identify new products, create upcoming specials, manage pop-ups and manage advertising for vendor events.

Evaluate the effectiveness of in-store events and promotions and provide recommendations for improved impact and engagement.

Partner and collaborate with national brand team for local website content.

Act as local brand ambassador, championing the RISE brand ethos and spirit as a welcoming and approachable cannabis provider while all marketing initiatives are executed per approved brand guidelines to maintain national brand continuity.
Customer Experience

Execute Rise’s local customer care program (e.g. thank you notes, bday cards, check-in calls) to ensure RISE maintains legendary customer service.

Respond to all local market customer service inquiries in an accurate and timely manner (email, phone).

Help deliver on customer satisfaction KPIs (satisfaction rating, new customer, customer retention and repeat rate).

Ensure retail spaces are continually set up to maximize the RISE customer service experience, consistent with national retail brand standards.
Community Engagement

Identify and maintain beneficiary partnerships/relationships for the RISE Save 5 / Give 5 community give back program.

Facilitate and coordinate patient and community outreach / events at RISE stores and in the community.

Maintain local event calendar and local event and beneficiary budget.

Act as liaison between the local community and the national team for a balance of community-centric content while maintaining national brand equity and continuity.

Provide the “voice of the community” input for integration into national and community marketing campaigns.
Qualificiations

4 year degree in marketing or related field preferred

3 – 4 years in a related marketing role

Must have strong work ethic and attention to detail

Must be self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously

Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of GTI

Must have a solid understanding of the Medical Marijuana laws, rules and regulations set forth by the state and the D.O.A.; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws is appreciated and commendable
