Facilities Supervisor:

The Facilities Supervisor will be in charge in making sure our facilities are operational by maintaining premises in a satisfactory and secure condition for all required production, manufacturing, retail and administrative operations. The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the upkeep of the facility and should have a variety of skills, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC and security systems experience and certification.

The right candidate for Facilities Manager will have extensive construction project management experience (ideally for industrial projects) and will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction project planning and execution, including scope, schedule, cost, and quality.

The Facilities Supervisor will be located in Santa Fe. The Facilities Supervisor will be responsible for several buildings, grounds, and greenhouses in Santa Fe as well as several other buildings in different locations across New Mexico.

Duties:

  • Report directly to COO and Head Grower.
  • Facilities maintenance and repair.
  • Assist with building inspections, procuring bids, and building operations.
  • Timely completion of work lists.
  • Subcontractor bidding.
  • Assist in developing the design spec book and create best practices for construction.
  • Check HVAC, door, interior / exterior lighting, roof and general premises on a routine schedule.
  • Maintain building systems including interior/exterior lighting, HVAC, thermostats, life safety and building security including fencing.
  • Maintain and install security systems.
  • Keep key / code logs.
  • Repair mechanical equipment as directed.
  • Keep a log of maintenance performed.
  • Electrical including bulbs/ballast replacement, plumbing, painting and carpentry as required.
  • Have keys to every area, marked and organized and be knowledgeable of the various keys.
  • Patrol building exterior for garbage.
  • Maintain Landscaping vendor.
  • Snow/salt or other ground work as required (maintain snow plow vendor).
  • Maintain HVAC contractor.
  • Maintain Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing contractors.
  • Maintain an inventory list for janitorial, mechanical and electrical supplies.
  • Move equipment, tools or supplies between properties as required.
  • Errands as required, including picking up supplies at various vendors as required.
  • Assist in roof maintenance repair work as needed.
  • Touch up painting and dry-wall patching as needed.
  • Miscellaneous trouble shooting and problem solving.
  • Monitor utility usage and be responsible for building energy management.
  • Use protective hearing, eye-wear and shoes when necessary.
  • Properly mark store purchase receipts and submit packets bi-weekly.
  • Travel around New Mexico.
  • Other duties as necessary.

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Five or more years of commercial construction experience
  • GB98 highly preferred
  • 1-3 years of industrial building maintenance preferred
  • Ability to read machine prints and perform machine repair
  • An ability to work well under pressure
  • Works well independently
  • Hands on experience in installation of piping systems (air, water, steam), industrial electrical installations and control circuits
  • Relevant technical knowledge
  • HVAC Certified (preferred)
  • Knowledge of security systems
  • Experience in a production environment using mechanical, electrical and plumbing trouble-shooting skills; utility installations (electrical, steam, air, process piping) is a plus

You must be able to pass a Federal and NM State background check according to the requirements of NMAC 7.34.4.8(H)(2).

NM 7.34.4.8(H)(2)

Disqualifying convictions: Individuals convicted of a felony violation of Section 30-31-20 (trafficking of a controlled substance); 30-31-21 (distributing a controlled substance to a minor); 30-31-22 NMSA 1978 (distributing a controlled substance); or a violation of any equivalent federal statute or equivalent statute from any other jurisdiction, shall be prohibited from participating or being associated with either a non-profit producer licensed under this rule, an approved laboratory, an approved manufacturer, or an approved courier. If an individual has been convicted of a felony violation of the NM Controlled Substances Act other than Sections 30-31-20 through 30-31-22 NMSA 1978, or has been convicted of any equivalent federal statute or equivalent statute from any other jurisdiction, and the final completion of the entirety of the associated sentence of such conviction has been less than five years from the date of the individual’s anticipated association with the production facility, then the individual shall be prohibited from serving on the board of a licensed non-profit producer, or working for the licensed producer,or approved entity. An individual who is disqualified shall be notified of his or her disqualification. If an individual has been convicted of more than one felony violation of the above-cited sections of the NM Controlled Substances Act or an equivalent federal statute or equivalent statute from any other jurisdiction, the individual shall be notified that he or she is permanently prohibited from participating or being associated with a licensed non-profit producer, approved manufacturer, approved laboratory, or approved courier. Any violation of this subsection shall result in the immediate revocation of any privilege granted under this rule and the act.
