We have invested in a fully integrated 36,000sf state of the art cultivation / extraction facility to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity and quality of our products. In addition, we will soon be opening one of only 3 licensed dispensaries in Boston.

We are currently looking for a Facilities Manager. This position will be located at our grow facility in Holliston, MA. This position requires experience in a fast-paced, quality controlled, technologically advanced environment

The primary role of the Manager, Facilities is to ensure that the entire facility (HVAC, water processing, electrical, etc.) is properly set up to support the best product and yield possible for our medical marijuana plants. The Manager, Facilities will oversee all building related activities.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the activities of contractors and employees, including delivery schedules, product ramps, equipment installation, etc.
  • Coordinating and performing the installation, maintenance, and repair on the following systems to ensure good output:
  • HVAC (including all environmental controls and condensers)
  • Water Processing equipment (softeners, filtration, pumps, tanks, etc.)
  • Waste Processing equipment
  • UV lighting
  • Coordinating Statistical Process tracking and control on key facility requirements, such as water quality, temperature, humidity, etc.
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Coordinating construction projects and all installation of building related equipment
  • Plan and share best-in-class methods with other facilities in the company
  • Develop and maintain repair and renovation schedule for both the equipment and building structure to ensure optimal operation of all equipment
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
  • Supervise facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.)
  • Allocate office space according to needs
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • 2 year Technical Degree
  • 4 years or more proven experience in facilities manager or similar position in either semiconductor or hydroponics facilities
  • Water processing and HVAC experience required
  • Previous and/ or progressive management experience preferred
  • Experience managing or working in a food production or pharmaceutical manufacturing facility

Skills Required

  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to juggle changing priorities
  • Experience working in a start up situation is preferred
  • Intermediate level of MS Office including Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Well versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practice
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, when necessary
  • Statistical Processing Control
  • Must have clean driver’s license and be able to pass a level 2 background check

Travel Percentage

  • 10% or less

Physical Requirements

The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, bend and reach for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and carry / climb ladders. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
