POSITION SUMMARY

The Facilities/HVAC Team Member maintains a professional cultivation and production facility to include a variety of different types of machinery and equipment including commercial HVAC and environmental systems, and advanced irrigation and water treatment systems. The Facilities/HVAC Team Member will have a strong work ethic, be self-driven and have great trouble-shooting and problem solving skills. GENERAL DUTIES

  • Become familiar with the design and layout of the facilities; learn the locations of installed environmental control and monitoring systems and equipment; and understand operating procedures relating to environmental controls.
  • Maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, engines, pumps, belts, fans, air handling units, filters, VAV and fan powered boxes. Clean and inspect chiller/boiler; treats water with proper chemicals.
  • Examines environmental control and stationary systems to diagnose problems using proper inspection, testing and monitoring techniques while exhibiting safe and proper use of tools.
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
  • Perform plumbing and irrigation systems maintenance.
  • Perform minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.)
  • Maintain clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, parking lots, and other work areas.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
  • Maintain OSHA requirements for worker safety and maintain strict adherence and compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
  • Assist in receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations in accordance with operating policies and procedures.
  • Safeguard cultivation operations and contents by assisting security personnel with safety and security awareness, procedures and protocols.
  • Continually pursues educational opportunities to enhance job knowledge.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must not have been convicted of any felony offenses pursuant to state statutes.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience with boilers, chillers and building automation systems (BAS) required.
  • Intermediate level use of enterprise computer systems and software.

  • Ability to take initiative and maintain the flexibility necessary to handle changing priorities, diverse day-to-day responsibilities, and non-routine circumstances.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and involve other team members to establish best practices and decisions.
  • Familiarity with a variety of tools and processes. Note: Personal tools not required for this position
  • Proven ability to act with good judgement and act independently when required while maintaining corporate values and policies.

PHYSICAL AND SCHEDULE DEMANDS

  • Position requires to routinely sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend for up to 8 hours.
  • Position requires the occasional lifting of objects more than 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
