LeafLink is seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will work directly with our Senior Marketing Manager and existing Events Coordinator to drive the growth and engagement of our client base through hosting strategic events. This role is highly collaborative and cross-functional, with dependencies on our Sales and Client Experience teams. You need to be a self-starter who is comfortable with change, enjoys a fast pace, and can juggle many tasks and deadlines.

Your primary role will be scaling our client events initiative, LeafLinkLocal, to hosting one event per month across our seven current markets and future markets as we grow. Events are an important channel to engage current clients, meet prospects, and generate revenue through sponsorships. You’ll bring impeccable organization, creative ideas and proven events execution to take our LeafLinkLocal events to the next level. These events are about recreating the bustling community that exists on our virtual platform everyday, in person.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with our marketing and events team to plan and execute sophisticated client events, launching LeafLinkLocal Events in more than 10 new markets.
  • Coordinate and source all external vendors, venues, speakers and negotiate contracts
  • Propose new event types to accomplish unique company goals
  • Consistently evaluate opportunities to host, sponsor, and collaborate with other industry partners
  • Lead/run events in person, with a positive, engaging demeanor
  • Work with the rest of the marketing team to develop a marketing and communication strategy around events including
  • Sponsorship packages and pitch material
  • Social Media and email campaigns
  • Paid advertising (digital, print and on-site)
  • Create events ‘playbook’ to scale the program through LeafLink’s growth
  • Setup and breakdown schedule, floorplans and venue layouts
  • Monitor industry events for best practices
  • Engage our sales and client experience teams to create strategic guest lists
  • Manage, report on, and create projections for individual event budgets and overall LeafLinkLocal Initiative
  • Work with accounting and sales team leads to determine ROI across events and the full Initiative

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of event planning experience
  • Planned and executed events ranging in headcount from 25-500 guests, B2B events a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to shift gears quickly and effectively, open to work travel
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, internally and with outside vendors and partners w/ extreme attention to detail
  • Experience selling sponsorships and working at a rapidly scaling startup
