Entry Level Packaging Technician
Job Description
Seeking individuals who have experience with individual packaging of Medical Marijuana products. This is not required but highly recommended. Individuals must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, trainable, reliable, and detail oriented. Location: Gaithersburg, Maryland. This position is responsible for preparing and packaging extraction and flower products. This position is expected to help facilitate meeting organizational standards and target goals for the packaging department. Supports and adheres to GreenMart of Maryland Ethics and Business Standards.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below.
- Weighs product.
- Package product.
- Tracks production.
- Maintains a clean and organized work space.
- Prints labels for out-going concentrate and flower packages as needed.
- Writing labels for delivery & checking labels for accuracy.
- Performs data entry which includes weights, strains, notes, etc.
- Ensures Inventory is accurate and barcoded correctly.
- Performs Second Checks which includes Final Inspections of checking labels, counts and product for accuracy and quality.
- Records and verifies final counts.
- Communicates with leads and management.
- Assists with loading bulk inventory in preparation for delivery departure.
- Assists other departments as assigned.
- Performs all other duties/responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

- Must be 21 years old or older.
- Must have great attention to detail.
- Must be able to follow very specific instructions
- Must be able to handle very delicate materials and execute intricate processes
- Must be able to meet/exceed time deadlines
- Must be able to meet/exceed performance goals
- Must be able to work in small/close quarters
- Must be able to take direction from Supervisor with a smile
- Must be able to work in team environment
- Must be on time/early for all shifts, meetings, etc. Punctuality is a must.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50-70lbs
Hiring Requirements:
- Must be over 21 years of age
- Can legally work in the United States - all documentation required
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check (no felonies)
- Must be able to occasionally lift 50+ pounds
- Must be able to either sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must have reliable transportation
- Mustbe willing to work nights and weekends
- 1+ years experience working with Cannabis. Experience with METRC is highly recommended.
