Position Overview:
Reporting to the Device Engineering Lead, The primary responsibility will be to perform Pax Era filling station installation and training to our filling partners throughout the U.S. This work will require domestic travel on an as-needed basis up to half-time. The technician will be responsible for organizing installations, procuring all necessary equipment, traveling to the filler to install the equipment, and training the filler on how to use the equipment. Additionally the technician will provide technical support to the PD team as requested. The technical support will vary over time but likely include work on testing equipment, calibrations, and new equipment design. The technician assists engineers, inspects products, conducts tests, and collects data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, setup and calibrate Filling Equipment
- Train partners to use Filling Equipment
- Create documentation for Filling Equipment use
- Update and/or create process documentation for existing and future Filling Equipment
- Assist Engineering team by executing on tests that help future product releases
- Create prototypes of parts/equipment (mechanical, electronic and/or computer-controlled mechanical systems)
Skills and Experience Required:
- Domestic travel up to 50%
- High School Diploma of GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- Highly mechanically inclined
- An ability to communicate well with cross-functional team members, efficiently collaborate to achieve project goals, and contribute positively to the engineering team
- Efficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Associates Degree
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a development/manufacturing environment
- Maintenance or Engineering experience in a development/manufacturing environment (integration of electro-mechanical components)
- Measurement/lab experience
