About Engineering Associates, LLC

Engineering Associates, LLC, a subsidiary of Dycom Industries, is a specialized engineering consulting firm that provides state-of-the-art engineering and design services for the telecommunications industry. We are seeking an Engineering Assistant for work in the Upland, CA area.

The Engineering Assistant is responsible for assisting with the development and collection of all necessary construction documents and related permits for various telecom projects. The Engineering Assistant will work with the engineering team to resolve any conflicts that arise during permitting and track multiple, concurrent permit submittals.

  • Access various databases that provide engineering and facility assignment records.
  • Schedule, submit and track permits to meet critical engineering design due dates.
  • Perform daily assigned tasks as related to specific functions that may include any combination of drawings, review of or the creation or update of permits.
  • General clerical duties, tasks, or special projects as required or assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have excellent inter-personal communication skills and experience working with team members on large scale projects
  • Intermediate skills - MS Office Excel
  • Detailed-Oriented; Organized; Work effectively in a team environment; Drive; Initiative; Integrity.
  • Ability to learn new customer computer applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. The level of noise in our office environment is moderate.

Normal working hours are between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm typically with a forty (40) hour work week. You must be willing and able to work overtime as customer demands may dictate additional work hours.
