Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Create recipes for baked goods, candies, and assorted confectionary products infused with precise doses of medical cannabis
  • Plans production for cannabis edibles department in accordance with corporate initiatives and recommend /implement methods/procedures to ensure efficiency
  • Fashion decorations to enhance edibles presentations
  • Requisitions kitchen supplies and equipment.
  • Oversee scheduling, set product specifications, calculate requirements, and manage incoming supplies/raw materials for edibles formulations.
  • Strictly adhere to department SOPs, including maintaining Batch Records, Logs, associated Forms/Documents, and QA/QC testing requirements
  • Operate, clean, and maintain proper sanitation of all kitchen equipment.
  • Adhere to requirements of current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), HACCP, QA/QC protocols and internal operating procedures
  • Monitor environment and comply with legal regulations
  • Maintain inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Dispose of waste according to guidelines
  • Create SOPs, training records, and related documentation
  • Maintain material safety data sheets for chemicals and products
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure processing operation is fully compliant with state regulations and federal and state law.
  • Assure that operation adheres to all business and industry license requirements.
  • Maintain strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the kitchen and documents production by completing forms, reports, logs and records

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience processing cannabis in a regulated facility preferred.
  • High School Education or GED graduate; culinary school or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check through the State of FL

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform repetitive techniques accurately and consistently
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, along with frequent bending
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds with assistance
