POSITION SUMMARY:

The Distribution Manager will be an organized leader and have a strong understanding of the company workflow and statewide Cannabis distribution regulations. They will take ownership of the Distribution protocols and logistics to align and meet compliance and sales objectives. The Distribution Manager will lead the Distribution support staff to mimic the B2B and B2C strategies and ensure the seamless implementation between Inventory, Distribution and Sales to achieve the Company’s short and long-term objectives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Working environment will include warehouse, manufacturing, and greenhouse environments. Heavy team-lifting is required for movement of product. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Develop, implement and enforce protocols for Distribution
  • Maintain loyal relationships with partners / vendors / customers
  • Develop training for driver and support staff
  • Improve and facilitate the flow between packaged products through to finished goods
  • Liaise with the Testing Coordinator to help determine the timeline and flow of finished goods through to Sales
  • Ensure all company transport vehicles are properly maintained and in good working condition
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to integrate streamlined messages through Distribution
  • Assist with Distribution goal setting, KPIs and daily department expectations
  • Implement and monitor progress against KPIs
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, coaching, onboarding and evaluating distribution staff
  • Work with manufacturing to establish effective and efficient routing for finished goods and movement of raw or bulk material
  • Assume responsibility for weekly reporting on execution of Distribution progress
  • Research and understand market fluctuations and trends related to distribution and products
  • Review Distribution resource allocation and budgeting
  • Facilitate seamless execution of routing and communicating between Sales and Distribution partners
  • Ensure effective communication of client needs from Distribution to appropriate internal departments (Manufacturing, Packaging, Sales, Marketing)
  • Cultivate a culture of streamlined focused hard work and openness
  • Quarterly travel to the headquarters and partnership locations (at a minimum)

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Demonstrated 3+ years experience working in distribution, logistics, fulfillment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Acts and dresses professionally
  • Ability to work well remotely and while on the road
  • Operates as a team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Advanced computer skills, including PCs, G-Suite, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexible in work schedule as needed

Preferred:

  • Experience with security and supply chain management

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Warehouse environment. Must be able to: perform moderate to heavy physical labor (lift 30 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally). Daily walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling (300 lbs. with use of manual pallet jack.) Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching. Must work in sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods of time. Some night and weekend work required.

Work Schedule: M-F, evening and weekends

Travel Time: 20%
