Position Summary:
The Dispensary Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the dispensary in accordance with the State of Ohio and standards set by Standard Wellness. The Dispensary Manager provides support to all Cashiers, Dispensary Agents and Patient Coordinators which includes: scheduling, training, providing policy and procedure updates, keeping updated with industry news, and product information. The Dispensary Manager is responsible for ordering and receiving all inventory and products, arranging deliveries, maintaining agent and facility compliance, and cleanliness.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage, supervise, and direct the daily operations of the dispensary in accordance with state and local rules and regulations to include addressing complaints, requests, concerns, and suggestions from patients and dispensary agents
- Work with the CEO to develop and implement dispensary policies and procedures to ensure that they are in line with industry standards and in legal compliance with the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of every product and strain in the dispensary as well as industry-wide product knowledge; provide education to dispensary associates about medical cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and consumption mechanisms
- Oversee all aspects of receipt, storage, packaging, labeling, handling, tracking, and dispensing of products containing medical marijuana and medical marijuana waste in accordance with state and local rules and regulations
- Maintain a professional public relations image that communicates the mission for The Forest to the public and the cannabis industry as a whole
- Direct hiring, scheduling, development, performance reviews, discipline, promotion, or termination activities of the dispensary staff
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer
Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent
- Must be able to pass all background check requirements as set forth by the Department of Commerce and Board of Pharmacy
- Must be able to obtain licensing through the Board of Pharmacy as a Key Dispensary Employee
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or commensurate experience, preferably in the retail industry
- Two years’ experience in a position with managerial responsibilities
- Experience in the regulated cannabis industry
- Knowledge of industry-wide products and strains, edibles, concentrates, and consumption mechanism
