Hope Heal Health in Fall River, MA is looking for a HR & Compliance Manager! This role is responsible for making sure that all compliance laws are being followed by our employees, as well as partnering with the Corporate team of experienced operators from Colorado & Rhode Island to perform HR duties and implement broader HR policy in Fall River. Responsibilities

  • Enforce and ensure all OSHA rules are being followed
  • Partner with Executive team to implement successful recruiting strategies in the Fall River facility
  • Manage the new hire onboarding process; work closely with hiring managers to coordinate new hire orientation and training to ensure a positive onboarding experience
  • Handle Employee relations matters and communicate to executive leadership
  • Perform and/or request required research to support compliance activities
  • Assists management with ongoing projects as assigned, balancing short and long term deadlines
  • Demonstrate understanding of state regulations as they pertain to the business
  • Ensures the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office
  • Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Maintains human resource staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Creates detailed, accurate calendar appointments for travel and company-wide meetings on shared calendars
  • Assists team with booking travel arrangements
  • Writes and distributes email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Provides general support to visitors and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of human resources management experience
  • Must be well versed in employment laws and applications (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, etc.).
  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Superb interpersonal skills, personal leadership skills, influencing, consulting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proven leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Exceptional computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office applications like Excel). HR Management Software. Payroll Software. Proficient in Outlook and standard Office applications.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and make sound decisions quickly.
  • Ability to toggle between analytical details and big-picture strategic thinking
