Director, Retail Operations

Description:

The Director of Retail Operations, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for overseeing all retail operations of GrowHealthy, leading a patient-centric team and providing clear direction to achieve company initiatives. Additionally, the Director of Retail Operations implements and maintains the policies and procedures of GrowHealthy and ensures compliance with all state and local laws and regulations. Total compensation will include variable performance pay in addition to a market competitive base and benefits package. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Team Development and Management

• Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring dispensary teams at each location
• Coordinating across the GrowHealthy organization to ensure appropriate inventory management, policy and security updates, and other dispensary needs
• Providing training and development related to customer service, HIPAA and confidentiality procedures, use of GrowHealthy’s ERP system, and GrowHealthy products
• Coordinating quarterly and annual evaluations across the retail department to promote individual development plans

Compliance

• Executing and maintaining compliance of all local and state regulations
• Performing regular audits for cash balancing, product inventory, and patient intake forms, for accuracy and completion at each dispensary location
• Reviewing security procedures, protocols, and incident reporting with management team at each dispensary location
• Ensuring that all team members train with Director of Security for prevention of diversion of cash and/or product, within the first month of hire
• Executing monthly product inventory

Budgeting and Sales

• Creating and managing budgets and sales goals for each dispensary location
• Coordinating with the Controller to ensure proper expense controls and reporting
• Analyzing sales data to determine optimal product mix, pricing and discount strategies, and applicable marketing campaigns
• Overseeing patient home delivery program and communicating with Delivery Manager and Director of Security for feedback and protocols

Company Culture

• Being a GrowHealthy brand ambassador and training team members to represent the brand appropriately
• Building relationships with community leaders and trust from our neighbors
• Following and implementing GrowHealthy’s core values, including respect, diversity, sustainability, research and service

Skills and Experience

• 5 - 7 years’ experience in retail management managing a diverse team
• Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field
• Experience in retail, hospitality or patient services
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experienced in a fast paced, high transaction environment, start up experience is a plus
• Fluent with Microsoft Office 365
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and systems

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a level 2 background check
