Director of Sales, Cannabis Company
Job Description:
Norcal Cannabis Company is a California based holding company with rapid sales growth. We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Director to manage sales of premium flower and concentrate products through multiple channels: distribution, white label and direct sales. The company headquarters is in San Francisco but sales responsibility spans throughout the state. The candidate will maintain a variety of active, very important accounts and will lead the effort to grow new revenue and the sales team in general. The candidate must have a proven track record of selling consumer product goods and strong sales skills, including prospecting, forecasting, account planning, negotiating and closing supply agreements.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing accounts and establish new accounts.
- Achieve bookings and revenue targets
- Grow and develop both distribution and direct dispensary relationships
- Manage and negotiate supply contracts
- Advise on supply thresholds
- Report on product opportunities in the marketplace
- Train distribution sales teams
- Travel up to >50%
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8-10 years proven experience in market-based selling into retail environment
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Start-up minded
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong interpersonal skills and high integrity
- Ability to work as part of a team in a rapidly developing marketplace
- Relationship building from executive level to retail buyers to end consumer
- Understanding of finance, accounting and sales contracts
- Ability to manage contracts and opportunities in a CRM system
- Ability to manage sales bookings and invoicing in an ERP system
In addition to base salary there will be significant performance based incentives which could increase salary 2x.
