The Opportunity
We are looking for a tenacious Sales Director who is excited about building a new industry and driving our revenue growth. The ideal candidate is self-starting, highly experienced in traditional sales processes and ready to tackle a complex sales cycle to drive success within our emerging bulk distribution sales model.

At the highest level, this role is responsible for all revenue targets, forecasting, activity planning and sales goals for our entire bulk distribution division, using our proprietary supply and demand mapping process and technology to curate the best product at the best price via the best channel within our network of suppliers and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain corporate sales forecast
  • Hire and manage the HW’s California sales team with support from President
  • Generate and implement a daily, monthly and annual activity plan for the sales team
  • Own the success of our Salesforce platform by managing our master Accounts database, activity plan, opportunities management and tracking.
  • Gather market data, insights and trends in order to measure demand and provide insights back up the supply chain.
  • Work directly with Head of Sourcing to match critical customer Accounts with appropriate suppliers
  • Travel throughout the CA territories to manage sales team members and take calls.
  • Generate and maintain Sales SOPs and other resources to standardize our sales processes
  • Report to the executive level on daily progress and quarterly/annual KPIs
  • Manage commission structures, quotas and success of sales team.
  • Manage and organize all sales, customer, and asset data
  • Allocate and channel product strategically to the best channel to meet goals and KPIs

The candidate must have:

  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce and/or comparable CRM systems, with knowledge of Salesforce custom implementations a major value add.
  • Experience with complex sales-cycles, high value transactions and complicated supply chain commodities.
  • 3-5 years plus in B2B sales
  • Proven experience managing a sales team, setting quotas, managing daily activity\
  • Self-starting mentality with ability to create resources and tools for success
  • Expert proficiency in office and technology tools such as spreadsheets, documents, CRMs, messaging apps, etc
  • Intimate working knowledge of typical sales processes, the sales funnel and customer journey
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent academic experience or work history.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Passes Livescan background check (no felonies)
  • No recreational cannabis-use is tolerated during work hours.
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Must have legal working status
  • Willingness to travel around California to manage team members and take calls.

Accountability: Establishes clear expectations for self and others to achieve stated goals and objectives. Sets regular review and oversight procedures against a plan, gives regular feedback to ensure system and record accuracy

Experience: Demonstrated expertise in their field. Has learned many significant lessons and has been able to implement what they have learned into their career.
