Surterra Wellness Physician Advocacy teams are tasked with a challenging, yet influential task: drive awareness and adoption of industry leading Surterra Wellness products with physicians to enable access for patients across communities. Physicians are the key influencer in patients journey for health & wellness and Physician Advocacy team seeks to provide knowledge, education and engagement to wide range of medical professional who are generalists and specialists. Medical cannabis is a new frontier and there are significant opportunities to educate physicians and patients, and we need passionate people who can embrace their role as a chance agent and an sign up to a purposeful journey with us.

As the Director of Physician Advocacy, you will lead team that delivers our message to the medical professionals everyday. Your team will include Physician Advocates, Analysts, Marketing professionals and salesforce administrators. This is a broad and high impact role and our goals are bold. You will set the strategic direction for Physician Advocacy organization, lead organizational diffusion across the team and define metrics framework to ensure a clear and progressive path forward. You’re ideally a digitally-savvy individual who understands the connected world, a master storyteller who can enhance his delivery with world class analytical skills, and do so by keeping your eyes on the results. You’ll be recruiting and growing team of exceptional professionals, lead them by example to bring the best out of people, embrace our brand values and purpose to life. Reporting to Chief Marketing Officer, you’ve access and influence across the leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All starts with defining and then executing the Physician Advocacy strategy that can deliver reach and adoption in the market, and then repeat to future markets of expansion.

  • You direct day to day of Physician Advocacy teams, sets metrics framework and incentive structures, while establishing a strong culture that unites all around the mission and impact

  • Your passion is to hire the best, develop them and be along their side on the field to guide and get the best out of their skills, passions and capabilities.

  • You’re the voice of brand any physician related topic, and your advocacy for our purposeful brand messaging comes across at every touchpoint, asset published and communication.

  • Be with Physician Advisors to observe, coach and remain knowledgeable on patient and physician maintains current knowledge of market and competitive trends.

  • Be curious, keep asking “why” until you reach to the root cause of issues and barriers. You’ll know when you get to the root cause when we’ve arrive with data and followership.

  • Show ambition when setting goals, and raise the bar for you and others around you. Right content is critical and we expect you to consume data in a way that guides you and team about what and how you create content that delights patients and providers.

  • You’ve an eye for talent and can identify the right people that will enable the brands journey. Hire the best, train the people we’ve to the leading talent in the industry.

  • Be ready to engage hands on, we’re trail blazers and building this industry one piece at a time. You’ll find yourself in driving seat often, i.e. writing copy and expect you to scale

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Four-year college degree in fields of Business, Marketing, Operations Management

  • Ten years or more relevant sales (primary) and field related marketing experience

  • Up to 50% travel may be required, across various states of presence or prospective markets

  • Solid understanding of Field Effectiveness platforms and metric frameworks (i.e. Salesforce)

  • Experience with managing geographically dispersed teams and driving performance

  • Leadership experience in healthcare or other regulated industry (preferred)

  • Masters Degree or better in Business Administration related field (preferred)
