Job Summary

This individual will be responsible for the management and optimization of all aspects of customization projects. Responsible for developing collaborative relationships across various internal functions, expected to have a quickly ramp-up on the end-to-end processes and provide structure and oversight all new customer initiatives related to customized projects. Run the Project Management Department with the objective of ensuring all projects are delivered using a 'best-practice' Project Delivery Approach

Examples of Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Project management

  • Ability to manage large, complex projects and break them down and execute into manageable pieces, develop functional processes, and deliver them in a successful and timely manner.
  • Manage project managers and coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop process/project plans, being the liaison between Sales and Operations.
  • Project management and process expertise to estimate, schedule and track projects; (proactively course correct projects that get off track).
  • Communicate project status updates to various project stakeholders, including team members and executives. Synthesize a multitude of issues into a clear, concise and focused message. Present with confidence and brevity.
  • Work with business stakeholders and process owners to identify most efficient path to project resolution. Manage and mitigate project risks that could impact on time and on budget delivery
  • Manager/owner mentality, entrepreneurial drive, and proven ability take ownership and influence others.
  • Development, maintenance and facilitate Project Charter and Project Management plan
  • Demonstrable capability to negotiate requirements and decisions effectively across a diverse range of teams and to lead through influence, negotiation and availability of resources and cooperation on programs

Productivity and leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop/train employees to meet/exceed business goals & objectives
  • Allocate resources, establish and maintain a teamwork environment
  • Coordinate and process all customer shipments with focus on response time and accuracy
  • Understand and meet business requirements in cost, delivery, responsiveness and on-time delivery
  • Leadership to promote best practices in managing projects and project resources have the correct toolsets and processes in place and that all relevant staff are trained and equipped to deliver successfully.

Continuous improvement

  • Address issues with root cause, corrective action and implement long term solutions
  • Support, develop, and manage work instructions, documentation, and corrective action plans as part of continuous improvement model

Qualifications Guidelines


Education/training/experience:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, PMP- Project Manager Professional Certification is required

Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively communicate well with all levels of the organization English.

5+ years of relevant work experience in supply chain, procurement, product development, inventory planning, finance or related field with an emphasis on program management.

Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Established project management skills. Adaptable / Flexible - being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances

Understands Team value and has ability to successfully motivate and maintain employee involvement while driving change


Knowledge of:

  • Lean Experience, Kaizens, Workouts, Process mapping, improved productivity
  • Team value and has ability to successfully motivate and maintain employee involvement while driving change
  • Organizational skills, with ability to manage competing priorities
  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Physical Standards:

  • This position requires frequently sitting, standing, reaching, walking, and handling/grasping. Must have finger dexterity, ability to use keyboard key.
  • Reach, stoop and lift office files, records or reports, typically weighing 20 pounds or less.

Travel:

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
