Job Description:

We are looking for a legally minded, detail oriented Director to manage all marketing, social media accounts and who would also be responsible for compliance and operations management. Smoakland Delivery and Distribution is currently in touch with a number of large scale operations throughout the state and we are looking for the right candidates to have on file for these exciting opportunities. Your duties would include the usual marketing work while ensuring our compliance with local- and state regulations. Our company is in the process of a large expansion, which will create future positions and growth within the company. Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Managing all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department

- Developing relevant content to reach our target audience

- Planning and implementing promotional campaigns, managing and improving lead generation campaigns, measuring results

- Development of brand awareness and online reputation, overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity

- Search engine optimization and generation of inbound traffic Cultivation of leads and sales

- Create, curate, and manage all published content, preparing online and print marketing campaigns.

- Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a “social” way while cultivating relationships with audience and potential business contacts

- Experience in digital marketing/social media a major plus as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications.

- Manages security compliance according to state guidelines

- Ensures safety regulations are consistently met

- Coordinates with seasonal employees in vetting for state guidelines

- Monitors operation to ensure that grounds are consistently clean and sterile

- Works with local government agencies on environmental issues/licensing

- Interpret the constantly changing rules of state cannabis commerce and communicate with staff accordingly

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelors Degree or higher
  • 2 years managerial experience with emphasis on team building
  • Extensive knowledge of state recreational and medical cannabis compliance law
  • Management and HR experience in large scale-grow operation or dispensary
  • Familiarity with training employees on compliance issues
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Well versed at multi-tasking
  • Must be highly self motivated and creative

Salary (highly competetive) DOE: 65,000 plus commission
