Curaleaf New York is a rapidly-growing medical cannabis company with dispensaries in Newburgh, Plattsburgh, Queens, as well as operations in Long Island, New York. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, experienced marketing professional to join our company. This role is a key player in the success and growth of our state-licensed medical cannabis program.

Summary:

Reporting to the President of Curaleaf NY, the Director of Marketing is responsible for planning and implementing short-term and long-term marketing programs, which are targeted toward existing and new markets as new dispensaries are opened throughout New York. This position will also involve collaborating with the SVP of Marketing for Curaleaf in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing and sales plans in order to achieve state-wide objectives.
  • Manage marketing and sales operating budgets.
  • Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online, digital media, and direct mail.
  • Develop and recommend packaging and pricing strategy to increase market share. * Develop forecasts and meet financial targets.
  • Analyze marketing and sales results, and take corrective action to achieve objectives within designated budgets.
  • Oversee and evaluate local market research, and adjust marketing strategy and messaging to engage patients and physicians and create long-term loyalty.
  • Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Guide preparation of marketing activity reports and present to executive management.
  • Maintain a consistent image for Curaleaf throughout all product offerings, promotional materials, and events.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance targets.
  • Direct market development activity and coordinate sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote Curaleaf.
  • Meet with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Review and analyze sales performance against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or business administration
  • 7+ years of marketing and sales experience, especially in a regulated industry such as food & beverage, alcohol, or biotech industries (healthcare/medical industry experience a plus)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 /year
