Job Summary:

This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design, development, implementation and execution of projects and initiatives at Kush bottles new sites and warehouse facilities related to construction, fleet management, maintenance of equipment, machinery, safety and security.


Work with regional leadership to implement short and long-term solutions that deliver significant cost advantages. This role is the owner facilities budget and responsible for development, approval and oversight throughout the year.

Examples of Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Project management

  • Ability to manage large, complex projects and break them down and execute into manageable pieces
  • Lead onshore and offshore teams to ensure projects are delivered
  • Plans, schedules and coordinates facility modifications, including cost estimates, resources, timelines and deliverables (on-time and on-budget)
  • Drive architectural, organizational, and process maturation that matches the growth of the business and supports the future-state vision
  • Oversee the coordination of building space allocation and layout and facility expansion

Safety

  • Visit job sites to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment and materials
  • Evaluate, assess and alter safety procedures and policies for the benefit of employees and clients
  • Analyze accident reports and evaluate injury case studies based on available facts
  • Prepare and conduct safety training sessions for employees and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.)
  • Research environmental regulations and policies and institute changes to ensure compliance
  • Track incident metrics and apply findings
  • Oversee the applications for and receipt of necessary permits
  • Lead injury and incident inquiries and evaluations

Security

  • Developing and implementing security policies, protocols and procedures
  • Recruiting, training and supervising security officers and guards or security providers
  • Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs
  • Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
  • Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms
  • Review reports on incidents and breaches
  • Investigate and resolve issues
  • Create reports for management on security status
  • Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology)

General Building Maintenance / Facilities

  • Overseeing contracts and providers for services including security, parking, cleaning and construction
  • Maintains vendor lists and an organized accounting of all vendors/contractors/subs/handymen addresses, contractor numbers, phone numbers, etc.
  • Manages day to day upkeep and construction/maintenance of properties
  • Liaison between tenants, contractors and vendors
  • Manages preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC and fire sprinkler system
  • Oversees the parking/parking lot program and maintenance of such.
  • Maintains accurate record keeping of all vehicles/VIN numbers and registrations
  • Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards

Budget

  • Responsible for the definition of requirements and communicate the need for capital expenditures (Capex) that reduces costs and waste by advising businesses on increasing energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Fleet management

  • Assist in training and Promote safety with drivers by your actions and communications
  • Manage and prioritize critical shipments to ensure customer service, while maintaining on-time performance, and minimizing expense
  • Manage driver's schedule to minimizing overtime while still maintaining established customer service and delivery metrics
  • Communicate with mechanics and local shop personnel to coordinate equipment repairs, maintenance and miscellaneous service

Qualifications Guidelines

Education/training/experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively communicate well with all levels of the organization English / Spanish is a plus
  • Customer oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to drive cohesion and collaboration among many different people & functions
  • Desired PMI Certification / CHST Certification / OSHA

Knowledge of:

  • Process related standards
  • Understanding Team value and has ability to successfully motivate and maintain employee involvement while driving change
  • Warehouse facilities and improvement project management experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS-Project skills

Physical Standards:

  • This position requires frequently sitting, standing, reaching, walking, and handling/grasping of materials in manufacturing. Must have finger dexterity, ability to use keyboard/ten key
  • Able to periodically participate in the inspection of company machinery and operations
  • Reach, stoop and lift office files, records or reports, typically weighing 20 pounds or less
  • Reasonable accommodations will be considered which would allow the employee to perform the essential functions of this job
  • Constantly sitting, standing, walking, and operating a computer workstation
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
