Job Description:

Loney Law Group is a boutique law firm with offices in Portland and Ashland Oregon. The law firm maintains a statewide practice primarily in cannabis law, business law, entertainment law and criminal defense. The law firm is looking for assistance in developing its business and ensure daily operations are in order. This position is a unique hybrid position that will appeal to a candidate who has experience and enjoys growing businesses, as well as involvement in day to day operations.

Position Responsibilities

Business Operations: (approx. 50%)

  • Establish processes and procedures for becoming a paperless law office, including seamless cloud computing, case management, marketing and financial software procedures.
  • Overseeing office records, storage, facilities, reception, billing, account, support services and supplies.
  • Provide oversight and strategic direction related to Firms technology such as network, phone systems, IT systems.
  • Oversight of HR systems and policies.
  • Customer service and client support.

Business Development: (approx. 50%)

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy, including forecast and budgeting.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and services.
  • Manage and update website.
  • Develop, implement, measure and report success of both digital and non-digital comprehensive marketing strategies in areas of advertising, social media, sponsorships, events and practice area promotion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with graphic designer for all marketing materials.
  • Develop growth plans to expand client relationships and develop new market opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bright, analytical, quick thinker who can assimilate information, identify areas for improvements and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated and exceptional leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to accomplish day to day operations and achieve desired business growth.
  • Capable of quickly diagnosing and improving internal processes, policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated leadership in business development and operations.
  • Experience with marketing, including but not limited to, social media, events, and tradeshows.
  • Ability to multi-tasks, prioritize and follow through on numerous projects simultaneously, with minimal oversight.
  • Manage projects from conception to completion with streamlined efficiency.
  • Understanding of law office culture and complexities a plus.

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development and operations.
  • Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business or marketing.
  • Self-motivated to meet and exceed goals and productivity standards with minimal supervision.
  • Positive, can do, attitude.
  • Exceptional problem solving, writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Keyboard proficiency and intermediate competency in Word, Excel, Windows and Outlook.
  • Ability to properly lift 25lbs
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time 4-6 hrs.
  • Ability to sit in front of a computer screen for long periods of time 4-6hrs.
