Summary/Objective
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit who is excited by the opportunity to help build something incredible from the ground up. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the ideal candidate will have strong cost accounting knowledge in a production environment such as manufacturing or cultivation, a customer service focus, the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations and a desire to work with a professional, results-driven team. This job is full time and will be based in Culver City, California. Some travel may be required.
Essential Functions

Oversight of inventory costing and related activities at multiple locations; analyzing production variances and providing insight into inventory cost fluctuations
Review invoice approval and coding, including supplier payments
Maintain accurate cost of goods sold accounting
Aid in the preparation of various month-end/year-end reports and schedules including inventory reconciliations, journal entries, cost of goods sold analysis, inventory on hand reports, etc.
Support monthly, quarterly and annual GL close processes and year-end audit as required
Assist in accounting participation in physical inventory count activities
Planning, studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor
Development, updating, and maintenance of standard costs and BOMs
Monitor, analyze and report on cost trends of inventory and raw materials to interpret overall cost of goods sold and margin variations, including analyzing actual cultivation and manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
Assist with the annual budget process, including the development of production cost center expenses, labor budgets, activity rates for labor and overhead to be used in standard costing
Performing other duties as assigned
Competencies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and technical GAAP accounting skills
The ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Professional attitude and a strong work ethic
Advanced PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Microsoft NAV
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree combined with 3-7 years of relevant work experience
A combination of public and private accounting (preferred)
