Description:

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Operations Manager with 3-5 years of experience coordinating and optimizing delivery routes, managing inbound and outbound inventory, and facilitating active communication among dispatchers, drivers, and patients. This position will lead and develop the Delivery Operations team, strictly adhering to Florida state law governing delivery to registered medical marijuana patients and GrowHealthy dispensaries. This position reports to the Chief Operations Officer of GrowHealthy and works in partnership with the Retail Operations team to ensure consistent and timely deliveries across the state. Total compensation will include variable performance pay in addition to a market competitive base and benefits package.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensure operational compliance with all federal, state, and local agencies, including the Department of Health’s Office of Medical Marijuana Use
• Collaborate with Retail Operations, Patient Services, and IT to develop and implement standard operating procedures for the timely delivery of medical marijuana products to registered patients
• Utilize technology software and best practices for daily fleet management, route optimization, transportation manifests, delivery schedules, and patient fulfillment
• Oversee accurate record-keeping for all inbound and outbound inventory
• Identify and analyze key performance indicators to minimize costs and increase efficiencies
• Schedule routine maintenance on delivery vehicles to ensure the safety of drivers
• Assist the Director of Retail Operations with hiring and onboarding new drivers
• Develop and foster a positive work environment for driver satisfaction through leading, coaching and developing the driver team.
• Promote Driver Safety Management through regular communication with drivers
• Encourage continuous improvement of the department
• Drive on delivery routes when needed

Success Metrics:

• Continual Route Optimization - learn routing system and work to increase efficiency while maintaining DOT regulations
• Technology - learn and keep up with new technology trends as presented
• Compliance – utilize internal and external information to understand federal and state laws and industry trends with regard to medical marijuana

Qualifications and Skills

• A demonstrated record of positive leadership and management capabilities
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and SMS for drivers is preferred
• Previous route planning experience is preferred
• Solid computer skills
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and systems

Education requirements:

• High school diploma
• Current, valid, clean driver’s license
• Ability to pass DOT background check
• Ability to pass a level 2 background check
