Curaleaf NY (subsidiary of Palliatech, Inc.) is a rapidly expanding, multi-state medical cannabis company dedicated to the needs of its patients. We are seeking an experienced Custodian/Production Porter for a fast-growing company to provide support to the organization. This position will be part of the production team and will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness standards of the facility.
The Custodian/Production Porter is to maintain cleanliness of all areas of the facility, so that production personnel and administrative staff can work without any obstructions. To achieve this goal the Custodian/Production Porter must systematically clean all areas of the production facility from the grow through the processing suite, labs and the general warehouse. The person will also be responsible for the general upkeep and the cleanliness of the shared areas, lobby, offices, break rooms, and restrooms by sanitizing, mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, garbage removal, etc. Duties will not be limited to the interior of the building but will also require cleaning exterior of the building as needed. Light maintenance duties will be done on an as needed basis. Weekend shifts may be necessary to achieve proper facility cleanliness and sanitization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Assist in cleaning and maintaining the production areas and equipment – not limited to platforms, sinks, floors, flasks, pipets, funnels, etc.
* Understand the differences in cleaning standards for ISO8 labs versus Non-ISO8 areas and follow all SOPs to maintain sterility when cleaning in different departments to avoid cross contamination.
* Remove trash as needed and sweep and mop floors to maintain the sanitary conditions in the production areas as well as administrative offices.
* Must keep the restrooms, gowning rooms, showers, break rooms, and common-areas clean and sterile, at all times. Also replenish soap, sanitizer, paper towels and toilet paper, etc.
* The trash collection areas must be kept clean at all times, including sweeping and mopping whenever necessary.
* Must be reliable and have experience working safely with cleaning chemicals & solvents.
* Must follow chemical manufacturer instructions and dilution ratios.
* Must be a team player and be able to work with little supervision or no supervision.
* Must interact with multiple departments and schedule tasks accordingly.
* Must have excellent time management skills and work ethic (be a “self-started”) to get daily job tasks done on time each day.
* Ability to maintain facility scrubs, towels, and general laundry service.
* Ability to maintain inventory levels of supplies needed.
* Perform other cleaning or housekeeping duties as assigned.
* Follow all safety rules as required to include using personal protective equipment such as safety goggles, gloves, masks, aprons etc.
* Must attend in-service training and follow standard operating procedures.
* Reports any items of concern to supervisor in timely fashion to avoid any health or physical hazards.
* Job duties are not limited to the fore mentioned description, candidate must follow requests and directives requested by management.
* Sanitizing projects completed on time without jeopardizing daily cleaning responsibilities.

Physical Requirements:
* Extended time standing, sitting, walking, bending and reaching.
* This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers.
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for 100 feet.
Other Requirements:
* Manufacturing environment experience preferred, but not essential.
* This job operates in a manufacturing plant setting.
